Quality and Safety for High-Voltage Batteries
In combination with MATERIALICA, sMove360° and eMove360°, the eCarTec represents the biggest specialist trade fair for electro- and hybrid-mobility in the world. From 18th to 20th October 2016, around 12,000 visitors from 55 different countries were inspired by an entire range of sustainable mobility. Almost 400 international exhibitors were offering their latest insights in the field of Mobility 4.0., from innovative materials and efficient battery systems up to charging infrastructure.
This year, Berghof presented innovative products and solutions with regard to high-voltage batteries. The business unit Fluoroplastic Technology attracted the visitors with an integrated safety- and ventilation-unit for high-voltage batteries, the "Degassing Unit" by their partner Mann+Hummel GmbH. Part of this component is a venting element on the basis of the Permeaflon® membrane, that acts as a bursting valve in case of emergencies. The business unit Berghof Process Management launched the intelligent and modular charging base MCB to the interested specialist audience. With its new, automatic battery function of distinction, MCB sets completely new standards in the field of safe and flexible charging technology.
